Hi,
Could you please help me find information how should I procced in order to change current QlikView Server set upt from 2 nodes into 1 node only.
In this particular example I want to keep only mucs0291 as 1 node QV server for all services and shut down mucs0482.
Is this aproach is correct
- back up QVPR folder from mucs0482 and mucs0291
- create same mounted folder path for apps on mucs0291
- uninstal QlikView Server on mucs0291
- instal QlikView server as one node machine on mucs0291
- restore QVPR configuration file but change all pahts in config files i.e."http://mucs0482" into "http://mucs0291"
-change paths begins DocumentMounts= "\\MUCS0482\S_OP_PROD\Accesspoint\" into "\\MUCS0291\S_OP_PROD\Accesspoint\"
There are many config files which need to be correctly set up so could you please help mie with this.
Hello,
You can use the XMLDBViewer tool found in the QlikView Power tools to edit a copy of the QVPR.
1. Make Copy of the QVPR
2. If the server you name you are replacing host any dashboard locations, that location need to be the same on the server that will be left.
3. Open the copy of the QVPR in the XMLDBVBiewer tool and search and replace the the server name .
4. Replace the QVPR with the edited version and start the services
5. Adjust any server names in the QMC .

Thank you very much for the guidance, and especially for the link to the tools you recommended.
They turned out to be really helpful, especially the ability to read multiple XML files at once and search for keys in different files, which made it easier to understand the configuration dependencies. Thanks to that, I not only managed to migrate the old configuration to a new server but also detected a lot of artifacts, non-existent applications, servers, and connections.
