ClientServerSupport.cpp points to wrong server

Hi.  I migrated my QlikView to a new server and followed the steps as suggested but from the client side I can't connect to the new server. In the log file I noticed this:

Info Connect ClientServerSupport.cpp 2789 Server negotiation string: "<?xml version="1.0"?><prot>qvp<authenticate principal="qlikviewadmin@LTP-RTB-QVIEW" domain="LTP-RTB-QVIEW"/><encrypted algorithm="aes"/><gzip/><balanced/><license_needed/><build>12235</build><session>{A9F72324-E419-4FBC-B77A-7DD61EBFFAA6}</session></prot>" 0

This is the old server address.  Where can I change this?

Regards

You are telling us that you get the old server in the log. Did you type in the new server name when defining the server name?

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview/May2023/Subsystems/Client/Content/QV_QlikView/Connect_to_Server...

You are also mentioning migrating to a new server. Is the port for authentication open? Port 4747 and 4774.

Seems to have been the ports blocked on Firewall.

Thanks a lot

When do this issue occur? Is it when using open in server on a QlikView Desktop client? Do you get an error message in the client as well? What is that saying?

Make sure that you also upgrade the client to the same version as you have on the server.

Make sure that you have allocated a license to the user.

Hi,  yes. on desktop client i try to open in server. both server and client on same version.

The error:

Failed to reach server: ...............:-1

Switching to HTTP tunneling

Connected to serer OK, Negotiations Timed Out.

But in the error log, it still shows the old server name

@jan_ltp

If you try on the server itself and use localhost in the server text box. (also make sure that the desktop client has the right server name set!)
