Could not perform request since QMS backend is in Off Duty state

Hi, I am attempting to configure the Management Service to connect to an SQL database using the QEMC but I get the following message "Could not perform request since QMS backend is in Off Duty state". Can anyone help?

Hi,

Usually the "Off Duty" appears in the QMC, Status when two or more Servers in the same network are sharing the same license number, and this license number does not allow clustering (or the number of cluster nodes has been exceeded).

Make sure there is no other active Server in the network with that license number.

I had the problem when some user-rights was changed for the user running the services. This is what I did:

• Get the user right on the services
• Start the services under the new user-credentials
• Install (repair) the QlikView Server again
• Restart all the services

and that worked .......
