Error when start service QlikViewDistributionService

Hello,

i just install a (old) qlikview server (12.20 sr11) and i've one service that doesn't start : QlikViewDistributionService

I look in the root file in log :

20210215T140427.027+0100 Error Failed to create QlikView Engine.. Exception=System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast COM object of type 'System.__ComObject' to interface type 'QlikView.Application'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{EA899B8A-415E-11D1-934D-0040333C91CC}' failed due to the following error: Error loading type library/DLL. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80029C4A (TYPE_E_CANTLOADLIBRARY)). || at QVBWrapper.Document.b__123_0(Boolean mutexCreated) || at SolutionGlobal.GlobalMutex.Lock(Action`1 action, TimeSpan timeout) || at QVBWrapper.Document.CreateQVBProcess(ILogBucket logBucket, Boolean createEmptyDoc) 20210215T140427.027+0100 Information Failed to create QlikView Engine - Cleanup and retry (3 second pause before trying again)

Hello @ChristianPicard,

FYI - It seems that the snippet of the QlikView Distribution Service Root log you provided is referring to a specific reload task and not the service as whole.

Typically to troubleshoot the QDS failing to start, you'll want to begin with the exact error message you're receiving when you manually attempt to start the service.  So, if you could provide a screen capture, that would be helpful. You would also want to check the Windows Event Viewer Application logs for error relating to QDS failing to start.  The following articles are typically used: 

If the QDS starts successfully when you manually start it in Control Panel > Services, but fails to start on reboot, then you may need to lengthen the start up as described in article QlikView Services are not automatically started on reboot of the Windows server
