Failed to contact the Distribution service

Hi All,

I am getting below error in QMC.  Recently I installed Qlikview 12.60 version in application servers. It is multi node environment. Distribution service is in 003 server and remaining services are present in 002 server. In the services.msc Windows console that all services are up and running using a local administrator account. Please help

QDS Error

 

The Distribution Service is Currently Not Responding.
Make sure the service is started (Computer Management, Services and Applications, Services) Check that the correct license has been applied (System, Licenses)

If the service is installed on a remote host, make sure that there is a working network connection.

Hi @kavyadwh91,

The QlikView Distribution Service (QDS) uses ports 4720, 4730 and 4747. See the QlikView Help entry Ports for more information.

Suggest that you check the QlikView Management Service (QMS) log for any warnings or error connecting to the QDS on server 003.  The default location for the QMS logs is %ProgramData%\QlikTech\ManagementService\Log on the server running the QMS.  Post back here with any errors or warnings you need help with.

Looks like the QMC can't connect to the QDS. Maybe port blocked?
