Failed to open document in qlikview

Hello everyone ,

We encountered an error failed to open document .

The documents in QVS mounts were there but when opened in access point we observed that its directing to root folder instead of QVS mounts in logs and upon restarting the services everything is good .

What could be cause for this ?

Thanks,

Hi,

It could an issue with the contents of the QlikView Server Settings.ini file.  This file is located by default in %ProgramData%\QlikTech\QlikView Server.  Open the file in a text editor such as Notepad++ and check the values for the below settings against what you have configured in the QMC:

  • DocumentDirectory=
  • DocumentMounts=

If the entries in the Settings.ini file aren't what you have listed in the QMC, stop the QlikView Server service and edit the file and update it so that the Settings.ini file now reflects what you have in QMC.  Then, save file and restart QlikView Server service.
