Hi all,
Is there a way, for the Qlik Administrator, to "Remove last document state" for all the users of a published application ?
Thank's in advance
Julien
Hi,
Go to QEMC --> System --> Setup --> Qlikview server --> Document tab .
Uncheck Allow session recovery.
Let me know if that worked.

If I understand you correctly, you are looking to disable Session Recovery.
To do so, go into QlikView Management Console, then go to System, QlikView Servers, Select your server, then in the Documents tab, uncheck 'Allow Session Recovery'
Hi,
The solution you propose could work, but it remove 'Document State' for all the published applications ...
I just would like to do it for only one particular application.

Julien
Hi,
I think you cannot have it for individual document.
Its universal setting it will be applied to all of your documents.

I suppose that information (user's document state) is saved in the .SHARED file.
But, if I remove it, I also remove user's Bookmark too, isn't it ?
I've read (and try) that it's possible to show the "foo.SHARED" file information using Power Tools - SharedFileViewer.
But, is there a way to modify it and keep users Bookmarks ?
Regards,
I haven't tried that too.

Dear Julien,
You can try to implement OnOpen trigger that would "clear all" and place the user on the first tab/sheet, just note doing this in Ajax it will hit the performance during the opening of the document, the reason is because Ajax works single thread which execute actions step by step.

Hi Giuseppe,
Thanks for your reply.
I already use OnOpen triggers in this application. And I won't "clear all" OnOpen 'cause users need to keep past selection when opening the application.
FYI, the application is 1Go of data, more than 20 sheets, more than 100 graphs & tables, ~10 alternate states, some triggers (fields, OnOpen) ... so it's a huge application used by more than 50 concurrent users.
I only want to 'remove last document state' when I publish a huge upgrade of the application.
In fact, huge upgrade cause strange behavior when users keep 'last document state' from the previous version of the application.
So, I would like to manually 'remove last document state' for all users, only when there's a major upgrade of the application.

Julien
Hi Julien
I know this Topic is quite old but I hope you are still into Qlik!
Currently, I am facing the same problem as you did.
Did you find any solution for this Topic?
Best Regards
