I am having the following problem:
I'm installing the 11.20.12347.0 version of QlikView.
My PC is equipped with the operating system Windows 8.1 Pro.
My processor is an Intel Core Quad Q9400 2.66 Ghz.
Windows tells me that the operating system is 32-bit x64-based (in fact the processor is an x86, the identifier for the central processor is "x86 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10" on the registry).
Well, if I now try to install the 64-bit version of QlikView, of course, the installer tells me that the system is not supported (right).
But if I try to install the 32-bit version, the installer tells me
which means that the operating system is not adequate for running QlikView x86.
Does anyone know help me?
thanks
PS: it definitely is not the right group, but I have not found one most appropriate.
Solved.
As you can see from here, the combination 32bit + Win8 + Desktop version is not supported.
To be able to successfully perform the installation, right-click QlikViewDesktop_x86Setup.exe and set on the Compatibility tab of the Properties run as "Windows 7".
The program will be installed correctly
Hi,
First of all know about your system is X64 bit or X 84 bit
Based on your system bit no download the personal edition and install it.....
Are you using "regular" installation executable? You need the one for Windows 8 and up.
I have both versions, I'm trying to install on a 32bit system (the model of the processor is "x86 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10") the 32-bit version
which kind of windows are using ??
"Both" means two. I assume you've tried
- QlikViewDesktop_x64Setup.exe
- QlikViewDesktop_x86Setup.exe
But there is the third version - QlikViewDesktop_Win8andUp.exe. Did you try this one?
Of course, I'm using the original version downloaded from the website.
This is the list: (i'm using build 12354)
For Windows 8, there are only 64-bit versions seems to me.
Is a strange thing, I've never had with other setups in general
Oops, I did not see, you happen to have the link?
Windows 8.1 pro 32 bit operating system i'm using
In your machine in Control Panel , Program and feature un install all the Qlikview related things and restart your machine and try to install
