How long does it take for a user to access the files available on AccessPoint once he/she is assigned a Named CAL?

Hello,

I want to know how long does it take for a user to access the files available on AccessPoint  once he/she is assigned a Named CAL? I have assigned the CAL and want to inform the user but was not sure if he/she can access them immediately.

The assignment should be effective immediately.  The quarantine period referenced in the other response is only for removing a CAL.

What Rob said is correct also it will take 24 hours if you are transferring a named call from one person to other.

Just a minor addition in case you are using some form of Section Access: the Named CAL will be assigned immediately, but a document to which access is governed by Section Access or Distribution by way of a Publisher will only become available after the next successful Reload&Distribution.

No Publisher and no Section Access = no delays.

Note that in QV12, the quarantine period is increased to 7 days.
