Hi,
We are currently facing an issue where someone with access to QMC has been disabling .qvw tasks. Could you please guide us on how and where we can find logs related to this type of issue?
QlikView Version: April 2019 SR3
Your assistance in finding a solution is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Hi @helpdeskDWH,
You can enable QlikView Management Console (QMC) auditing by following the Qlik Support article How to Enable Audit Logging in the QMC. Once QMC auditing is enabled you should be able to determine which account is disabling QDS tasks.
Best Regards
If you have task history logging enabled, you can see it there.
Another way is to identify who has the professional license in qlikview since they can do that function.
Hi @helpdeskDWH
We use Qlik Sense Now, but should be smth Similar
Go to Server Folder or Machine folder where QLik is installed, Look for Qlikshare Folder =>ArchivedLogs=>your serverfolder name=>Repository=>Audit
you will find a long list of .log files named like that
YOURservername_AuditActivity_Repository_YYYY-MM-DDTtimeformat
Then order by date and select your Log file. you can open it later with excel, to let you make filters
Sequence# | ProductVersion | Timestamp | Hostname | Id | Description | ProxySessionId | ProxyPackageId | RequestSequenceId | UserDirectory | UserId | ObjectId | ObjectName | Service | Origin | Context | Command | Result | Message | Id2 |
Origin |
ManagementAccess |
Maybe there is better and faster way to find it but I do not know yet
Good luck
