Hi All,
Does anyone has a method of identifying which applications are consuming the most RAM on the QlikView Server.
Sporadically, we have users create charts (server collaboration objects) that contain all fields. If there are any tables in the document that are not joined, a Cartesian product can result. Sometimes this will consume hundreds of GB of RAM, causing Windows to start swapping memory. Once 100% of RAM is consumed the server is brought to a crawl.
I would like a simple method of Identifying the culprit, since we have thousands of users and several hundred applications in QlikView. Otherwise we need to reach out to all the users that were accessing applications at the time of the incident.
Thanks,
B
The only technique I've found is to look at the audit logs to see what someone may have been doing at the time of the explosion. An interesting approach is to load the Audit and Performance logs together into QV so you can view them like a running story.

The QlikView 12 Application: System Monitor is a great tool for what Rob is stating.
