Hi All,
I set a reloading schedule on one Doc in QEMC. I was wondering wheher we can set a re-try function on reloading if the first time fails?
Thanks.
Hi,
That option is only available in v10 with the Publisher license. If you do have that license, when you create a new task for a source document, you will see General, Reload, Reduce, Distribute... and one of the tabs is Triggers. In the lower part of that tab you have the number of attempts and the timeout in minutes for that task. There are no such options in v10 without Publisher license, so you wil have to support your reloads on a second task as suggested.
Hope that helps.

Hi,
You can either create an identical file that reloads on the event of a failure in the other reload, or store a value when the load is successful (if such thing is possible) into a QVD file, and another field checks whether that QVD has that value or not, and reloads accordingly. If this is a requirement probably the simpler and probably more efficient way is to have the same script in two different files that generate the same QVDs. It's more elegant, though, writing a simple 1 to a QVD file when the reload ends successfully, so the second file, that only reads this field in this QVD triggers the second reload of the first file.
Hope that makes sense.

On the Triggers section of your reload task, there's an option to increase the number of tries. You can increase that along with the timeout time.
Hi,
Thanks, but where is it: trigger section in QEMC?
