At the suggestion of someone within QlikView, we went down the path of getting Adobe Acrobat as the 'preferred solution' for the automation PDF generation/distribution. Now it seems that it is not that easy. How can we make Adobe Acrobat Pro be the recognized PDF Printer? I get an error PRINTER_NOT_FOUND as part of the log when job is performed. We are on QV 9 SR5 [with one lingering server SR3]. I can use the Adobe PDF Writer manually without issue.
There HAS to be a way...I cannot believe that a separate application is so embedded with the QV Server that no other option is possible.
Any thoughts would be helpful.
