Incorrect logging behavior of Directory service connector

Hi Awesome folks,

We have a qlikview setup in which we have clustered the directory service connector across 3 server nodes.

Server 1  has (DSC, QV Server)

Server 2  has (DSC, QV Server)

Server 3  has (DSC, MGMT Service, QDS)

We were facing issues related to some users not able to see some of the applications. After looking at the DSC logs we suspect it was one of the DSC on the Server 2.

As a temporary fix we decided to shut down the DSC service on server  2 and remove the cluster configuration from management console under System --> Setup .

The weird thing is that even after stopping the service and removing the configuration of the DSC from mgmt console the DSC logs on server 2 are still being updated.

What could be the reason for this ?

Would request to have your inputs on this .

Regards,

Nadeem Shaikh

Hello ,

1. Confirm that you had the DSC services turned off on the second server

2. Confirm if the file located : C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService\Configuration.xml doesn't still has both DSC servers listed in the XML  ( <Url>http://yourservernamehere:4730/DSC/Service</Url>

3. Confirm the DSC cluster was configured according to the below link:
