Installation issue

Hello,

I got a problem to configure service account during qlikview 12.10.26000.0 installation.

When I tried to browse the domain, the only one thing available is the local computer. So I can't configure the service account.

So I configure the service after the installation, but the service qlikview server can't start, until I use local or domain account, the accounts tested was granted local administrator. The local administrator got all right on the directory, and subfolder where the application is installed.

I got the error below :

"System Exception, failed to retireve settings from qlikview server"

Hi @QlikSupport1,

When installing QlikView and you are unable to browse the domain when selecting the account to run the QV services, this is typically due to the Windows Computer Browser service not running.  See Selecting service account when installing QlikView Server not possible if Computer Browser Service i... for more details.

When choosing to configure service account after the installation as you have done, check to be sure that the QV service account is a member of the QlikView Administrators security group.  If not, add the account to the security group and try licensing again.

Another note is that the 12.10 version ended for support assistance in November 2019.  So if you need to reach out to Qlik Support, you need to running a more modern version.  Currently the supported versions are 12.40, 12.50, & 12.60.  See Qlik Sense, QlikView, and NPrinting End of Support Date for details.

Best Regards

Hello,

From the description, it sounds like the computer is not actually in the domain. If you join the computer to the domain, then the computer should have access read to the Active Directory Domain (again, sounds like Windows AD you are using).

Good luck -
