Hello
We had a Test server installed and we are running some issues. we are on server 11 sr2
The day the server was installed, I tried to schedule a job and it was running ok, but then it was not running the 2nd day and after.
What would be the problem that the jobs stopped running?
Someone mentioned that this maybe related to the group policy that prohbit the ID from running the qlikview service.
If so what the group policy will it be?
Thank you!
If the service account cannot run QlikView services, QVS cannot be started at all or the services will shut down and there will be no more QVS. The same happens when you use a service account with a password that expires. So it's probably something different.
Can you post the details of the Task that you configured to run on each successive day? Is the task producing an error on the second day, or is it simply refusing to run?
Best,
Peter
I did not say it cant run QVS, i am just saying that it can run jobs before but not now if I schedule them they do not run .
The jobs just stopped running. I scheudle it for 9:00 and it should finish in 5 minutes but it just kept running until it hit the max running period. It will then abort itself.
So the task in effect just hangs until killed by the distribution service?
Can you post a document log and a task log? Both can be found in the Distribution Service log directory, but creation of a document log must be enabled in Settings->Document Properties->General in your document-to-be-reloaded before restarting the task.
Also post a screenshot of your Task Reload configuration in QMC.
My feedback about services was a response to your third-party remark about group policies..
Best,
Peter
