My qlikview server stops abruptly

My qlikview server stops abruptly and we need to restart again to resume service.. Could not find info from logs.. how i could get more info and resolve.

It is Server 11.2 SR13.  Everything was fine till last month.. No major changes done. Still now the server stops abruptly.

Seems when the CPU usage shoots up to 100%, it stops.

The Qlikview logs or event logs of windows does not have any error logged.

Please help me to setup more clear logging and identify the issue.

Thanks

KRS

Hi,

Check the below points may be the issue.

1: Tasks which are taking long time to run.

2: Overlapping time between 2 tasks

3: Check CPU load

Hi,

We've been experiencing similar sporadic and unexpected QVS service failures.  They are usually occur when the RAM has reached the QVS lower working limit.

We have the Service set to restart on failure under the Recovery tab, but it is still annoying to customers that lose their session. Especially, if it occur repeatedly over a short time frame.

We have been working with Qlik for months, but still don't have a solution yet.

They indicated that applications with Direct Discovery could be causing the issue.  Are you using that in any of your applications?

Regards,

B
