New to qlikview

Hi,

Iam new to Qlikview and exploring it.

I actually went through the tutorial and even want to have more clear view on the following issues.

(As i was unable to get the required form the available documents.)

1.How to know that publisher is correctly installed?

2.How does a developer store his developed Qlikview files in the server?

3.How does a end user use the Qlikview files developed by the developer

Environment:Qlikview 8.5 Beta2

Please help me out.....

First thing to ask is why are you starting on v8.5!!?  v11 has recently been released...I'd start with v10 SR4 or v11 if I were you as 8.5 is so old it's like a different product...

Actually this version is already installed by company people.

And the concerned person(who installed) is not with the company and we have to do the further.

As Jason said please install version 10 sr 4 or 11.

There is no point in going ahead with 8.5.

Or do we have to pay for the new installation..?

If you had purchased the amc which gives you free updates then you can get the updates in free, I think.

But, I believe to get the exact info on your case you should contact your Qlikview partner they can get you some good deal for this update or if you want then I can connect you with the sales guys in my company.

It is your choice, check prices and partner reputation to go ahead with the deal.

I wil suggest you to first migrate the tool and then go ahead with further development.

QV 8.5 vs QV 11 . There are lots of changes made in technology to fullfill feature requirement.
