I want to sum the total outstanding balances of distinct patients. The data has duplicates – I’ve been able to count the distinct patients, but I’m not able to sum the outstanding balance of those distinct patients.
For example, a patient comes in on 7/28/22 to see Dr.X at 7:30am and then comes back at 2:30 to see Dr.Y. It’s one distinct patient with two rows of data each with the same outstanding balance of $20. The sum of this patients total outstanding balance is listed as $40 rather than $20. How do I fix this formula to reflect only one row so I’m not doubling up on the outstanding balance?
