QMC Task in Aborting State.. not able to rerun until QDS restarted

Hi,

We are facing an issue (occurs randomly) in our environment while reloading a qvw (just reload no distribution).

The Task is going into Aborting state and is not allowing us to rerun it until we restart the QDS.

The document log shows failure message while trying to load data from SharePoint list. (most of the times this task runs successfully. Access to SharePoint site is verified successfully)

8/1/2014 03:00:09.4185782 Information 8/1/2014 3:00:09 AM: Execution finished.

The Task log shows the below message.

8/1/2014 03:00:09.0909551   Error   The sourcedocument failed to reload.. Exception=System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80004005): Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.

at QlikView.Doc.DoReload(Int32 _Mode, Boolean _Partial, Boolean _Debug)

   at QVBWrapper.Document.Reload(ILogBucket i_LogBucket, Boolean i_MonitorQVBCPUUsage, Boolean i_Partial, Boolean i_ReadDocumentLog)

The same task runs fine sometimes without any issues but sometimes it goes into a hang state.

We have one QlikView Publisher in our environment. (version 11.0.11440.0)

Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

Improvements on the task abort handling has been made.

My suggestion is to upgrade to the latest 11.20 release.

Hi Sudeep,

Mostly we were experiencing the same issue with tasks having other task dependencies.

This is a known bug & it has been listed in qlikview release document.

Please perform a patch upgrade to the latest SR.

In our case, It has been resolved after an upgrade to 11.2 SR7.

Thanks,

Jaydeep
