Hello,
Our customer uses an MSAccess database on server A and Qlikview Server is installed on server B. When we reload QVW within local QV desktop application on QV server, ODBC connection works and data is reloaded. When we do the same with a scheduled reload task in QV Server (tried 32- and 64-bit), the reload stops at ODBC Connect. All is tested with the same domain user account (which works for local QV desktop application).
Please help.
Kind regards,
Patrick Strooij - Provelu
FYI: server with Access dbase is Windows 2003 x32 R2 Std and QV server is Win2008 x64 R2 Std
I presume you've installed and set up the ODBC drivers on the QV server ?
In addition to what Graeme has stated, your problem is likely due to the there being no 64 bit access (jet) drivers in existance (your QV server's OS architecture is the one that defines which odbc drivers are used)
There has been limited success by compiling a DSN using the 32 bit odbc admin on the QV server (see link) but the offical line from microsoft is that access/jet connections are not supported via a 64bit OS. A more robust solution is to load the database on a 32 bit SQL server and use access as a front end.
Office 10 now has x64 ODBC for access. You would have to install that on the server.
I installed it, but the same situation!!
instead of the 4.0 jet provider using the 12 provider
What to do?
