Hi,
I have stopped and started the services in QV11. All the service got started except Qlikview Server, showing disconnected in console.
What could be the issue?. It was running properly before.

When you go into the QMC>Status>Services>QVS what is the error message in the right Panel?

Restarting services dint work actually so i tried by restarting the server. For the first time restarting its not worked, so again i restarted then the problem got resolved.
But i wanted to know is there any proper solution for this case.
First of all I would upgrade Windows Server to latest upgrade and service pack.
Upgrade QV to 11.20SR5 is a good advice too
Well, first you have to figure out what the problem was all about. Then a solution can be devised.
Check the Management Service log, or the QlikView server log to see if there are any failure messages at the time of the last restart.

Could you call the server by using in your browser qvp://server ?This require plug-in installation of course but is a good way to check if qvs is responding.
In your server configuration link from QMC to QVS are you using qvp//ip , dns name or just server name?Do you have a defult installation with server config ini file under c:\programdata\qliktech ? Domain or local account? What say QMC log under C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\Log?
