QVPR XML files compatibility with DNS Hostname Alias

Hello All,

We were testing out putting the server DNS hostname alias into our QVPR XML files.

We stopped all QV services, found and replaced all instances of the server name with the DNS hostname alias in the QVPR folder XML files, and then restarted our services.

It looks like the QMC and Accesspoint are coming up, but the QMC is saying that the DSC, QDS, and QVWS are down even though the services are running.

I was wondering if anyone had insight into this issue?

There are some further files, like the settings.ini from the server or the config-files from webserver, directory service and so on. You will need to change the server-name everywhere. Nevertheless such an approach isn't without risks and therefore you should do it only if it's absolutely necessary.

Hi @qlik_Maestro

Are you using admin groups or certificates to communicate between the services?
