QVW size going to zero after reload Qlikview May 2023 SR2

Hi Community,

We upgraded our Qlikview environment to Qlikview 12.8 May 2023 SR2.

Since our upgrade it has been noted that qvw file goes to 0KB in size after scheduled reload. When I try to open that file it  shows no script in it. It looks like an empty file without script. This file has to be replaced with the backup to get the schedule/process running again.

There has been no indication in the document log file. It shows execution finished fine.

This was not the case with us in our previous Qlikview version. We would get an odd qvd to get corrupted due to the reasons we understand and we manage accordingly. But since this upgrade qvw files has been getting corrupted.

Can someone shed light on possible cause or is it a bug?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Hannan

Are you getting any error? Or none?

Do you have an antivirus installed on the server.

Check for the correct exclusions, https://community.qlik.com/t5/Official-Support-Articles/QlikView-Folders-and-files-to-exclude-from-a... or temporarily disable the antivirus. And test the outcome.

If you want to have a closer look in whats happening you could monitor all read / write actions using Sysinternals procmon
