QlikView Access Point URL for Cluster Set up

Hi All ,

We set up a Qlikview Cluster set up everything is working the way it's supposed to, the question is getting to the access point. we can reach the access point on individual servers with the http://localhost/qlikview/index.htm. we set up a DNS and created a Generic link but the DNS points to Server 1 where the QMC is set up. so if server 1 goes down then we cant really use the generic link to get to server 2.

So, how did you guys get to the Access point on cluster set up? Do we have to use  Third party Load balancers like F5 or anything? what is QLik's Recommendation?

my Goal is to have a Qlikview. domain name that goes to one of the 2 servers depending on the load.

Thanks.

The URL you use for AccessPoint is to the webserver. The webserver will load balance between the QlikView Servers (QVS).

There is a explanation of the architecture of QlikView here

If you have more than one webserver you will have to set up load balancing with a third party software.

There are more information about this here
