Qlikview - Issue with data reload

Hi,

Customer triggered app reloads by batch file for a long time and everything was ok. But around months ago he found that data it's not always fully loaded. For instance, in the browser, they see that data for a few last days not available. After this they open an application on the server and reload it manually and all data appears in the app, they save the app and open the web version but data is still not available.

In my opinion, it's not correct and they should use QMC to trigger the apps.

This issue appears one time per a few days, sometimes they see all data in the browser version, sometimes a few last days are missing.

I checked logs for a long period and see that data is always fully loaded.

Thanks,

Vitalii

There may differences between a batch-reload and qmc-reload in the amount of records and also in the made transformations. But if the data are there after a qmc-reload and are partially missing after the opening it indicates that there is any section access restricting the data.

Another thought goes to the transformations / data-quality - so it might be that no data are missing but they didn't fit to the used selections anymore, for example if a certain date-resolution didn't work so that these data didn't get a valid month/year value and are then excluded through selections on the period-fields.

The only thing I can add in addition to Marcus' comments would be something going wrong in the saving of the application such that QlikView Server is not getting the new data, so I would verify the timestamp on the QVW file the QlikView Server is using to see when it was last updated when the issue occurs as that should help confirm whether things actually did update in the QVW file etc.  Be sure they do not have anti-virus active-scanning running on the QlikView directories etc., as that can cause issues as well.  About all of which I can think in addition to what Marcus suggested.

Regards,
Brett
