are there things to know before doing this? tip/tricks? or is it just like a regular install?
Got it - thanks.
AFAIK there isn't anything special to worry about.
Thanks
Hi,
for those of you who have expeirence with IE plugin and Citrix, any ideas on the below?
We have recently installed IE plugin on our Citrix farm and this has gone fine, one annoyance we have found is, when an end user opens up the access point it will do the plugin install and will install on the server they are pointed to. Then when they access again and are pointed to a different server in the farm they have the same install come up again,
Is there anyway to do the install on the server the first time and have this mirror across the whole farm after that? so that the install for the end user is only ever done the once? Rather than having it pop up 20+ times?
Or is there some other configuration on the farm itself that would stop this happening?
thanks
Joe
Hi.
At one of my clients we have:
2x QVS v11 in a cluster with load balancer.
Users connect using thin clients.
They open documents on the cluster using the AjaxZFC.
At another client they use the IE plugin, which also works very well, thus consuming more RAM than the AjaxZFC.
Both setups work very well.
The thin clients need only a web browser and Excel for this setup to work, and the IE plugin if that is used.
Of course, along with the other applications not dependant on QVS.
Kind regards
