Remove UserCALS

Hi,

In version 12, the quarantine period is 7 days

I have to remove the user cals after the quarantine period to 7 Days Here am using the Control M external task to run this functionality.

Command line is : C:\QlikView\Scripts\CALCleanup\CALCleanup.exe --type=USER --document='' --timespan=1 --service="http://localhost/QMS/Service" --version=12 --output='C:\QlikView\Scripts\CALCleanup\Logs\CALS_removal.csv'

Error : The InnerException message was 'Invalid enum value 'Licens\
eService' cannot be deserialized into type 'RemovalCALs.QMSAPIService.ServiceTypes'.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

and Can you please let me know why it will come like this in the QMC bar. ( is it the issue? we have already updated, it has 2019 In the LEF)

This is likely a license violation per the following document:

QlikView Product Terms

See section 3 and subsection C:

Named and Document CALs are assigned to an identified user and may not be transferred to another user unless the transfer is due to a i) termination of employment, or ii) a transfer of the user to a new business unit or group resulting in no access to the Qlik Software. When a Named User or Document CAL is transferred, there is a 7-day quarantine before the CAL can be used by another user.

The reason for the increase in the quarantine time was due to exactly what you are trying to do, which again, is a violation of the license terms if you do not meet the above condition of the person having left the company or changed positions.

Hopefully this answers your question fully, let me know if anything is unclear.

Regards,
Brett
