Hi,
I was building dashboards on a personal edition and due to a desktop changeover had to download Qlikview again. This has now rendered all my work inaccessible. Is there anyway this can be retrieved, even just the code behind the load files as this was where a lot of my calculations were done.
Thanks
Sindy
I cannot really test this because of lacking a PE Desktop. However, I think it should work for you as well. It works with my documents.
Note that a PE desktop isn't really meant for continued development of multiple documents in a business environment. It really is a Try-out version. You will run into trouble again. Consider buying a license.
Good luck,
Peter
I was gonna say, Rob Wunderlich 's QV Document Analyzer ,
Maybe for future versions of this tool, he can incorporate the Script retrieval
Document Analyzer does extract the script to script.qvs in the metadata directory. Problem here is that DocAnalyzer needs to open the qvw so same PE limitation would apply.
Do you have document logs you can recover the script from? Can you use the recovery option (you should get the option to recover the document and update with a new PE license 4 times).

Hi,
For this you need a license.
You may send this qvw file to some of your friend using License Edition of Qlview Desktop.
He can extract script for you. I think this is the best approach.
