Hi,
My client has created a task. It suddently got disappeared from qemc portal
1) How can I recover the task?
2) Does the task gets physically saved on the server? If so then please specify the path
Hi Vinoth,
The Tasks are saved here in form of backups(Zip files) and based on Dates.
C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Publisher\CommandCenter\QVPR\Backups
See for a definite backup based on a date, where you have had all the tasks and jobs and unzip here
C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Publisher\CommandCenter\QVPR
But before that save all the .xml and .bak files present in
C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Publisher\CommandCenter\QVPR
for safety side so that you can go back when it does not work.
You might need to start the services on the Server after the changes.
Hope this helps
Regards
Sravan
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
We are using windows server 2003 and qlikview 10 sr2
Hence i tried to find the publisher folder inside C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\QlikTech folder.
But that particular folder was not there.
Workorder backups are stored here in QV10 on 2003: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\QlikTech\DistributionService\1\BAK
QVPR .bak files are stored here: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\QlikTech\ManagementService\QVPR
Make sure the client hit 'apply' after creating the task
My suggestions were for 9.00 SR5 and SR7
Michael might be correct for QV 10 as for your purpose.
Hi Michael,
Thanks for your reply.
But can you explain me how can we get back the task from the bak or qvpr folder.
Sorry i am new to qlikview
Thanks
Hi Vinoth,
The easiest thing to do in this case since it is only one task is to simply recreate the task in Publisher. If you are unsure of how you did it, refer to the backup workorder you generated the day you made the task. It should be here:C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\QlikTech\DistributionService\1\BAK\__your task date__
Open it up and find your task. There you will see your original settings etc., then just remake the task in Publisher.
