A user manually added 2 charts in a report published on the access point, and after adding, we cannot open the report again. I can connect from Open's server, but the report does not open. What can I do, your help is requested.
Hi @krmvacar,
You can manage user created objects on documents in the QlikView Server Management Console (QMC). Refer to Qlik KB article QlikView: Manage User Objects and Shared Objects. Open QMC > Documents > User Documents > Select the QlikView Document > select Server tab > select Server Objects tab. Then find the user created object and click delete (red X icon), then apply.
Also, if you regularly backup can .Shared/.TShared files, you can delete the current .Shared/.TShared file and restore a version of the .Shared/.TShared file from before the user created these objects.
One other method would be to use the QlikView Power Tools > Server Object Handler to select & delete the user created objects.
Best Regards
How did the user add two charts? Are they server objects or did the user implement the changes in the qvw file.
If server objects are causing you problem then you can restore the application by choosing to open it as a file. Alternatively you could delete the server objects.
If the changes are implemented in the source qvw file then you could try to save it by opening it without data.
Hi @Vegar thanks for reply.
The user added a page on the report we published and made tables inside the page. Because there are errors in the tables she made, she cannot open the report on her own access point. Other users have no problem. We want to delete the page added by that user, but when we connect, we can't open the report.
