Using a mixture of browsers - does this effect performance?

Looking at the stats about Qlikview usage i can see that some users are using chrome , though most are using IE.

Does this have any effect on the performance of a Clustered set up?

Hi Tim,

I have not heard of an issue with different browsers effecting the server and long as you are using the one's that are supported for the Qlik version you are running.

However, I have seen some browsers perform better than others for end user experience.

Hi Tim,

Using different browsers  will not effect here Qlikview server performance. For better performance I will recommend you  to use qlikview version comparable   browsers.

Thanks,

The only way to differentiated access is detected when using IE Plugin QV, because it use QVP protocol instead AJAX.

For optimal management go for Ajax unless the IE plugin additional features are required, it is less maintenance for the business (less cost is always good for brownie points).
