When IE Plugin going to be decommissioned?

When is IE Plugin going to be decommissioned?

We are getting push to deploy this IE plugin globally and we are not sure on what to do as we were told by Qlik that IE plugin was going away soon and Qlik will bring improvements in AJAX.

There are no plans to discontinue IE Plugin in the near future.  This change has not been slated for any upcoming service releases.

Hi,

Microsoft has talked about removing the OCX support for a couple of years now. Once they do that then the Plugin will not ne available for the Version 11 track (There is no plugin for Qlik Sense).

When Windows 8 was first release the OCX was not supported in Metro and to use it you had to run Windows 8 in Desktop mode. So, I would start looking at moving toward the AJAX version and away from the plugin, because you never know when Microsoft will stop their support.
