Hi All,
I am working on qlikview publisher and I have daily scheduled task in publisher and they are working fine.
If I want to reinstall publisher then after restoring I don't want to create all scheduled tasks. So how to take a backup of those task and how to restore it so that i will get all task after re installation of publisher.
Tasks will be available in QVPR file
Hi Rupali,
The following assumes a clean install on your production server (Server2) and all tasks set up on your development server (Server1). Unless you have separate license keys, don't license Server2 yet, because that will attempt to create a cluster and will corrupt your QVPR.
Step 1: Stop all services on Server2
Step 2: Rename the QVPR folder on Server2 to something else, and copy the QVPR folder from Server1 to Server2.
Step 3: Change all references to Server1 in the following files to Server2:
C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Publisher\CommandCenter\QVPR\DirectoryResource.xml
C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Publisher\CommandCenter\QVPR\DistributionService.xml
C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Publisher\CommandCenter\QVPR\DSCResource.xml
C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Publisher\CommandCenter\QVPR\QDSCluster.xml
C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Publisher\CommandCenter\QVPR\QlikViewServerResource.xml
C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Publisher\CommandCenter\QVPR\QVSCluster.xml
C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Publisher\CommandCenter\QVPR\QvWebServiceResource.xml
Step 4: Start all services on Server2 and stop all services on Server1.
Step 5: License Server2.
Also, please find the attached document. This document contains step by step precdure after the migration.
Hope this will help you.

This works only on an older QlikView Server (v10)
On a version 11 or 11.20 server, you can simply save/archive a copy of the following folder:
C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\QVPR
To restore your tasks to a previous version, ro to simply restore them after something got lost, replace the existing QVPR with one from your backup(s).
In any case, to get a stable backup or restore, first shut down all QlikView services before copying/replacing the QVPR folder.
Note: this works in all cases, whether you have a Publisher license or not. The location of task metadata stays the same.
Best,
Peter
Hi,
go to C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\QVPR
Cut whatever files here and paste into desktop in new folder.
Now go to backup folder of C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\QVPR\Backups
pick a latest backup from here.
Then go to C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\QVPR\
paste and extract file.
you will get all triggers.
One thing remember don't change Administrator user and Physical Server name.

Vimlesh
Hi,
Why not do it the simple way?
