how to install Qlikview server and Publisher on two different server machines?

Hi Team,

Can someone please suggest the procedure to install Qlilkview server and publisher on different servers and also please explain how to configure them to talk to each other. Thanks

If there are no certificates or firewalls involved, the process is installing the corresponding software in each computer (not a complete installation, but a custom one specifying which components do you want to install in each), and then in the QMC refer to the server name where the Distribution Service (a.k.a. Publisher) is installed.

Have you already installed all components in a single server? The process is very similar, but the installation happens in two computers instead of one. Still, everything is set up in the QMC (folders, permissions, logs, etc.).

First of all, thanks for responding to my question.

I need to install all services(QVS,QMS, DSC and QVWS or IIS) on server 1 except publisher service.

Publisher service need to be installed on another server.. say server 2.

my doubt is what needs to configured in QMC to connect publisher service on server 2 to first server?

If possible to provide screen shots ?

Hi Miguel,

Sorry i missed your point. So we just need  to mention server name(URL) in QMC.

But if the certificates involved , what is the process?

You first need to export certificates to the different servers and configure all QlikView services during the install to use certificates instead of the local QlikView Administrators group.
