I don't know about the background of this informations; in this case, the only way for us is to restart the qlikview-server. but about the reason for this error we don't know anything.
Knows anybody more about this problem (and what to do to resove this) ?
Hi @wudu2020,
Thanks for confirming that you're running QlikView Server. As Maria stated, QVS.exe IS QlikView server and should always be running. See the attached Qix-Engine-Memory-Management.pdf file for an in-depth description of how QlikView Server utilize RAM. Based upon the symptoms you are describing, you may have to add additional RAM to your server.
Best Regards
@wudu2020 Have you taken a look at the Distribution logs around the time you see these errors? How many tasks are you running at the time you see these errors? It sounds like the server may be running out of resources so I would suggest looking at your CPU usage on the server at the time this issue occurs as well.
Hi @wudu2020,
Can you please provide some background on how you're reloading your QVWs? Are you using QlikView Server? QlikView Server with Publisher? Or using QlikView Desktop with some customized run command? I agree with @Lucas_Gatling in that monitoring the server resources during the reload period would be beneficial.
Note that the version of QlikView listed in the error you provided, QlikView 12.10, has been deprecated for support assistance for almost two years now. So if you need direct assistance from Qlik Support, you'll need to be running a supported version - 12.50 or 12.60.
Best Regards
Hi @Lucas_Gatling , @Chip_Matejowsky , thx. for your posts. i will check the memory situation, if the problem comes again.
we are using qlikview server on a vm with 64 GB RAM and WinServer 2012R2.
There's a process always running named "qvs.exe" - this process needs diffent amount of ram, at the moment 11,7 GB (while running one qvw). after killing this qvs.exe (if no qvw is running), it starts automatically again and needs some megabytes of ram. this size increases again over time.
