I have a program that list all users connected to our alarmcenter and their contact person. The user and the contact persons information seems to be located in 2 seperate databases (database tables) and when i import it into clickviewer i cant seem to get all the information into a table box the way i want. What i end up with is the contact information shows up after the user information like this.
User | Phone | Contact |
---|---|---|
User 1 | Phone 1 | |
User 2 | Phone 2 | |
Contact 1 | ||
Contact 2 |
But what i need is more like this
User | Phone | Contact |
---|---|---|
User 1 | Phone 1 | Contact 1 |
User 2 | Phone 2 | Contact 2 |
Hope you understand what i want, and that someone can help
do you have any link between these 2 tables ? how do associate User1 with Contact1
Not sure how the data is layed out in the databases, but it seems that nothing is common between Phone and Contact here? or are we not seeing it here, but User 1 and User 2 is a common field between the two databases?
In the program we used before, you would find the user in a list then find the information about the user, then in another tab we can find the Contact information, and Im not really sure how the old program is set up.
So what you are saying is that I cant do it the way I want unless i find a link between the two database tables ?
How this User and Contact are linked?
Both are two seperate tables or one table only?
When I select the database table to load from (in Edit Script) they show as two seperate database tables, User and Phone in one and Contact in the other
Import into clickviewer means?
It is Qlikview not clickviewer ....
please tell us,
fields of both the tables.
You need to have a link (a common field) between the two table so that Qlikview can create the association and link the data as you'd like to. In fact if you share the fields in both table the community will be able to help you out more.
Yes its Qlikview i meant in the op.
I load User and Phone from one database table and then User (renamed Contact in script) from another database table.
