A target line should be there (as a line) regardless of selection

Hi,

in a barchart where, by default, six dimension_points (six days) are visible, I have a target line with a fixed value. When, however, any specific value is selected so that only one bar is shown in the chart, there is no line anymore, but it shrinks to a single dot.

How can I avoid that?

It does not seem to work using set_analysis, but mayhaps I've done something wrong?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards,

How have you created your target line? Using a constant value for a reference line in presentation tab (I think this should do what you want) or using second expression in expression tab?

I had done it as an expression, but you're perfectly right - whenever I have a constant target line, a reference line is much easier.

Thanks a lot!

There's only one drawback - if I have the target_line as a reference_line rather than an expression, it is not visible in the caption.

Well, I can do with that.

Hi,

unfortunately, as I've realized now, it isn't that easy: When I have a fixed target value, this is a good solution.

When, however, I want to display sth. else - a presence_quota, for ex. - I want this to be a line, regardless of selection - well, not quite as it does differ month over month, but I'd like it to remain a line, not shrink to a dot when I make a selection.

Is that possible?

But you want your dimension values to be limited to your selected range, i.e. a single value, right?

Hm, can't think of an easy solution right now, I am sorry.
