It seems that support for the IEPlugin has taken a backseat to QlikViews direction for using the AJAX zero gootprint client and that it may well in the future be deprecated. This is evidenced by the fact that collaboration and other QV11 features are only supported in AJAX view of documents.
There were many earlier rendering issues (scrollbars etc) and the WebView in the Developr IDE is still clunky to use at best and does not often accurately represent the true view of a document when served up through the AccessPoint.
What is the experience in the community with this before we take the painful task of trying to tweak our layouts to fit AJAX rendering for1024 x 768 which is the default resolution the clients out there receive their Apps in and can anyone tell me the proportion of users using AJAX or the PlugIn.
We are sticking to the IE Plugin for as long as it is supported, the AJAX client still doesn't give you a WYSIWYG development environment in my experience. Even basics, such as scrolling through tables, seems clunky and performance overall is way below par.
That said, many people here will advocate the use of the AJAX client. Microsoft will soon stop supporting OCX, and it seems that Qlikview.next is going for a 'one client to rule them all' approach based on HTML5 and CSS3. But where that leaves those of us stuck with IE8 I have no idea.
