[ASK] how to make a forecast chart with current data in qv?

i have a problem with forecast-ing in QV

since i never made it before 😞

i'm using monthname(date_visit) as a dimension

for expression i use sum(QUANTITY)

n this is a result with "no accumulation" :

n this is a reslut with "full accumulation" :

what's the different between no-accumulation and full-accumulation?

what should i do to make a correct forecast for my case?

No Accumulation means GIVE ME THE SUM AS AT THIS DIMENSION VALUE, in your case, give me the sum of quantity for the specific month, and only for that specific month.

Full Accumulation means provide the same as above, but for each dimension ADD IT TO THE LAST VALUE, therefore providing you with a growing accumulation of the value.

JAN = 10

FEB = 15

MAR = 5

With full accumulation, FEB gets added to JAN to give you 25 and MAR gets added to JAN & FEB to give you 30.

Hi,

The Basic difference between Full Accumulation and NO accumulation is like

when u say NO accumulation it will not add the previous month data to current month (assume your dimension is month)

but if u say Full accumulation then it will add the previous values to the current value

i.e Month 1= 10K

Month2=Month1+Current Value (10K+20K)=30K

Month3=Month2+Current Value (30K+40K)= 70K

Like this continues ...........hope this is clear now for you

Since you are trying to get the Monthly Qty consumed use no accumulation option and do the forecasting

n the problem now is, how to make forecast in QV ?

is the picture with no-accumulation correct?

or is it need formula for forecast-ing?
