Automating Reference Lines on QlikView Line Chart

Hi All,

I have a challenge to automate reference lines on a line chart on qlikview.

If you kindly look at the attached QV File I have the Data Table on the right which is the base data for my line chart on the left. This data table changes according to different schedule numbers you can chose and you get different Phase types (Arrival, Power Off, Power On, Delivery etc.) on different dates. (Only Schedule Number ABC1 is illustrated on this file)

My question is that what do I need to write on Line Chart > Chart Properties > Presentation > Reference Lines > Label and Definition Expression to get the reference lines automatically appear and change when you chose different schedule numbers?

Many thanks for all your help in advance

Murat

Murat,

Do you mean to have something like this whereas the dates themselves are dynamic based upon the schedule selected?

Thanks Sunny.

Not sure I made it clear enough. I believe I need to write the codes in expression and label part so it creates the reference lines itself when different schedule number has been chosen which will change the phase types and the dates they occur. Current reference lines have been inserted manually by myself.

I guess I am still not sure what you mean? From what I know, you can not automate creation of anything within Qlik... a developer needs to code something and user can think it is automated... but I am not sure what exactly are you hoping to see automated?

Hi Sunny,

Sorry, I have misused the word automating instead of dynamic which is confusing.

Correct answer is as below. Many thanks for your answer.
