Best way to export the table structure to show all the attributes use in a document?

Hi,

I'm a newbie to Qlikview and i would like to export all the tables used in my document. I have tried the export table structure, but I cannot open the file as it is has an extension of *.tab.

I would just like to have a list of all items available for my users who are not developers.

Please can someone advise as it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The .tab file is just a text file. You can open it with any text editor like notepad. Or import it into excel.

Hi G Wassenaar,

is this the best way to get a data dictionary for all the fields available?

No idea, it is certainly one of the easiest and fastest ways. Export structure, load in excel, ..., profit. You could also take a look at the Document Analyzer
