Hi All,
This might seem like a daft question... but has anyone else experienced this problem?
When selecting a specific sheet or whilst trying to expand minimized objects on a .qvw, the actual qv deleopment software closes. The rest of the document is fine, charts work, data reloads ok and even the sheet and minimized objects open via accesspoint..... but not on the desktop to make changes.
Has anyone ever encountered this and know of a solution?
Thanks in advance,
Ronnie
I have (rarely) encountered this kind of problem where something in a qvw gets corrupted. The only solution was to delete the offending objects (when possible) or create a new document and copy the good objects and script to the new doc. You may want to send the problem document to support even if you find a workaround.
HI,
This is strange , but u are getting this error for every charts or any specific chart?

Hi Manesh, I don't receive any error messages, the qv software just instantly closes.
Hi Rob, I had a feeling that might be the case. It seems strange that if I open the qvw and go straight into the offending tab, it doesn't force close until I select one of the objects. But If I do anything, even move an object by one pixel... it closes when trying to go to the tab.
The tab in question is more of an info tab with info on the service i.e. refresh period, scope, version control and a reminder how to set of objects.
I'll migrate everything to another qvw and bin the original,
Thanks
Rob,
You're right as always!!
It seems that there was one object on one of my tabs that was specifically causing the problem. We've created a general template with out company's logo/colour schemes so that we can just crack it open and start building new items and it looks as if the original template was floored.
So.... now begins the job of migrating everything over to a new template!
Many thanks,
Ronnie
