Block Charts: Show Value from Expression?

Hi, we're trying to achieve the following in QlikView 11 with a block chart:

  1. Size is determined by first expression - works
  2. Background color shading is determined using "Background Color" sub expression of first expression - works
  3. Value shown in boxes is determined using "Show Value" sub expression of first expression - doesn't work

1 and 2 are easy but we are having problems with 3 - enabling "Show Numbers with Labels" always uses the value of the first expression, and ignores the "Show Value" sub-expression. Which is odd because we are successfully using other sub-expressions like "Background Color".

How can we set a custom value in the brackets displayed inside the block chart?

Edit: Never mind, it was embarrassingly simple once I looked in the right place...

(Presentation tab). Using QV 11.20 SR4 btw.

Ping... any luck solving this?

I am facing the same challenge.

Hi,

Unfortunately show value is only possible for bar, line and combo charts. Not for Block Charts.

Thanks
