Bold Text format for dim & Exp not working for null or zero values

Hi,

I have a Pivot table with 4 dimensions and one measure.

For both these, i have provided text format to display as bold '<B>' with the condition -

if(Region= 'Total','<B>')

But wherever the expression value is zero or Null, the bold does not work, and it shows in normal font.

I am expecting a result like this, but the result i am getting is - For Column A, wherever there is 0 or null, the value is not bold but normal format.

Thanks

Hi Pooja,

The zeroes seem perfectly bold to me.

To illustrate, I've used the same expression to use a yellow color for the background.

Hi Pooja,

Do I understand you have a region "Total" in your data model?

Would it be practical to just use the partial sums in the chart? See below example.

Hi Ronald,

You are right, i have the 'Total' region in my data model. I cant use the partial sum property, because I have 5 regions in my data model, but i want to show only 2, the third one is the sum() of the 2 above, which is as it is in the source file itself.

Hello Pooja,

1) Does this Total Value under Region Field?

Hi Ronald,

Like i mentioned, i am not able to recreate the scenario with sample data.

let me put a screenshot of my actual table.

If you see, the the Value 'Gross $$$' is the the one for which i need '<B>', and it is showing correct where there is value in the 'Misc Others' category. In the last line, the value for Misc Others is 0, and so the the 'Gross $$$' is in normal text.

If in your example I alter the values to show 0 for US, it works as well, so there must me more differences between your problem qvw and the example.

Can you scramble/reduce your original qvw and share that perhaps?
