Bulk Data Download

I have a requirement of downloading the base data of DWH into a file(CSV or Excel).

QlikView has inbuit Export To Excel option but i can not use the same because data will be very huge and excel worksheet has

a limitation of 1,048,576 records.

User would also require an interface to select the required columns from desired tables. The columns can vary as per User’s requirement

And selected column's data then need to be downloded.

Please suggest me any feasible approach to achieve this.

Hi Sparten,

you can made a Straight Table with the colums that you need to export.

After click with the right button of your mouse in the table header and choose Export in the menu. Please notice that you don't have to choose "Send to Excel" but Export!

In the bottom of the windos that appear you will see the "Save as type". Drop down the menu and chose "Comma Delimited": it don't have a maximun number of rows, it's a text file.

Do you just want them to select a set of columns then get a file with all data, or do you want to let them filter as well?

Is this a standlone application, or do you need this as part of something bigger/broader?
