I'd like to put a button in my qvws which will return to user to the Access Point. I don't want to use the Back button because some of the qvws have other buttons which will open other dashboards in the same window. I want something that will go directly back to the Access Point. I know I can use an "External -> Open URL" action in the button but here's the problem: It will work if I hard-code the Access Point URL, but I want to make the action generic so it will work in both our production and test environments. Is that possible?
Is this in addition to the "close" option in the upper right of the application? That option returns you to the access point if you update the opendoc.htm file.
We have hundreds of users and I'm sure most don't know about the Close button although that is an option. A button would be more visible. What I really need is a variable (not sure if that's a Qlikview variable or a system variable or if there is a function that would do this) that contains the name of the web server that I could use in the External->Open URL action so I could use the same document in different environments.
Users could keep the Accesspoint open in one tab on the browser and open the QVW in a second tab, that would also be an easy way around this issue.
Thanks,
Josh

Here is a Help link from the QMC that should help, check out the 'Open Document Options' section, believe you just need to use the 'New Window' option, this way the AccessPoint page stays open in its original tab...
Hopefully this gets you what you need!
