CSV reload speed

Does anybody have any tips for how to increase the reload speed of a CSV file into QV?

Read the file from the same drive, where the QV-program is located.
Load the file without complicated formulas.
Load only the required columns.

Calculations etc. may be done once the file has been loaded into memory.

With a reference-file you may monitor the effectiveness of different measures and choose the best one.
