Calendar View with data

Hi

I have some recruitment data which holds a list of all successful applicants and the dates they will start with the organisation.

I am wanting to show the total number of new starters for all the dates across the year in a presentable format.  The way I want to display this is in a calendar / planner view which has a count of new starters on that day.  The planner will show all dates in the year.

Is this possible?
