Can I select the Excel version to use?

I have Excel 2007 and 2010 installed on my PC but when exporting data to Excel, QV always creates an xls file and opens Excel 2007.  Is there any way to force it to create an xlsx file and open Excel 2010 instead?  I am running QV version 10.

Hi. Interested in if you got any progress in this. I would also prefer an option where and XLSX is created instead of XLS. Regards, Robert

No we had to get users to decide which version of Excel they were going to run and then uninstall the other copy.

Even if you have only Excel 2007, Qv exports a .xls file, doesn't it?

You control it only if you use macro, but it is much more complicated to manage ( requires special permissions, may not work on Ajax and so on)
